An early morning call out to a roof space in Smithfield yielded an unlikely culprit. This Major Skink had entered the roof during the evening and as the morning sun became more intense the Skink became increasingly more desperate to find its way out. The home owners feared a snake was responsible for the racket coming from their ceiling. A closer inspection revealed it was actually their resident skink that was responsible for the noise. The Major Skink is one of Australias a larger species of Skink which is native to our area.
