An early start this morning and a walk in total darkness just a head torch to guide our way for around 40 minutes to get up to 600m above sea level with my client Rob to get into place for the sunrise and let him see and hear the place come alive with Red Grouse calls, Mountain Hares and Curlews. It was beautiful, the heather is out in its full pink colour too, covering large areas in a pink carpet of colour. Rob got some amazing encounters and images. Here is what greeted us once we got to the top, a beautiful sunrise, for me its always the best part of the day and makes you feel alive seeing the sun come it. So powerful too, and a little funny image of a male Red Grouse watching us, watching him as he peeked around this large stone. I’m back there tomorrow with another client before heading to Wales for the weekend to do 2 days of talks.
