An earthquake early-warning system has been designed that could give Inland residents a half-minutes notice (and people in LA a minutes notice) if an earthquake were generated on the San Andreas fault in the Salton Sea area. A bill signed last year authorized construction of the system -- but didnt provide funding. So emergency officials are taking their plea for funding to the public, and seeking help from the private sector. Do you think funding for an earthquake early-warning system should be more of a priority?
