An elderly man paid for my orange juice this morning. I was surprised, so I asked the employee why. He said that the man told him to tell me to just keep smiling. I looked up to see if he was still there, and I saw the warm grin on his face looking at me through his rearview mirror. I was so consumed by my own thoughts and worries, that I didnt take in what was simply happening around me. Its as if he knew without knowing that I was desperate for a kind gesture. Its important that we appreciate the now and the simplicities that allow us to reflect. There are angels in disguise everywhere, even at a McDonalds drive thru...
