An elephant encounter is an experience most people remember - TopicsExpress

An elephant encounter is an experience most people remember forever. But there’s a tragic story that unsuspecting tourists in Thailand are part of. It’s the story of baby elephants being ripped from the wild to supply the tourist trade. Once taken, baby elephants are tied up, starved and tortured to ‘tame’ them for a life in captivity. Over half die from stress – their young bodies simply can’t take the beatings. Our campaign to stop this illegal trade is already seeing amazing successes. But we urgently need to expose the full extent of the problem and how it is devastating wild populations. We need your help to raise a further £12,000 to fund a series of investigations into this horrific practice. Will you help us stop this for good?
