An encounter with teacher A: An old saying goes: “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” (Brad Henry)....but more than this, a loving teacher can shape the future of every child. While seated in the Principals office, Teacher A requested for a dialogue with me. She was in tears relating to me the physical abuse that one of his students constantly experienced from his parents. She had several conferences with the parents regarding the situation hoping that it will put to a stop, yet the ordeal continues. I promised her that a letter will be sent to the parent to address the matter. On the day of the conference, the mother of the student arrived and I requested the teacher to be present as well. Everything went well during that conference and I noticed that both the teacher and the mother were in tear as I explained to them the effect of physical abuse to the life of a person. Guess who has more tears: the mother or the teacher? Your guess is not good as mine! If tears would be the basis of making a distinction between the mother of the teacher, for sure you will find it very difficult!
