An enlightening read for anyone, but particularly those for whom religion has always signified something, benign and supportive, and associated with beauty in music and architecture. They are often the ones who fail to, or refuse to, see the cruel and destructive side of religion. Not all sects have abandoned the Biblical horrors of Hellfire, eternal damnation, Armageddon and Judgement Day.
