An excellent first half from us where we should have gone into half time at least a couple of goals to the good. Some nice interchanging footy played and we were getting in behind easily with Mata and Rooney pulling the strings and Young and Valencia well advanced as spurs sat deep. An excellent change of tactics from Spurs at half time as they came out and pressed higher up the pitch with far more energy not allowing us any space or time on the ball in the middle third, nullifying Rooney and Matas influence. The ref spoiled the game by giving a succession of free kicks breaking the flow and dishing out yellow cards left right and centre in a game that wasnt dirty, just physical. A point was probably a fair result as we failed to capitalise on our first dominance. Youll slide down the table after your easy start they said.....half way through the season sitting in third, unbeaten in 9 games they never said!!!! Our best is yet to come too when our injured players return!! On to Stoke! (P)
