An excellent movie showing at Gateway, "Adhi Shankara" with english subtitles. An excellent storyline. The movie Jagadguru Adi Sankara revolves around the renowned Spiritual leader from Kerala, Sri Adi Sankaraachaarya. He mainly preached non-dualism, which means ‘seeing God in youself’ - Why search for God elsewhere when you can find Him in yourself? It depicts the importance of ‘Oneness’, which is the need of the day. His works elaborate on ideas found in the Upanishads. He travelled throughout India, from South India to Kashmir and Nepal, preaching to the local populace and debating philosophy with Hindu, Buddhist and other scholars and monks along the way. Westerners who know about him perceive him as the "St. Thomas Aquinas of Indian thought" and "the most brilliant personality in the history of Indian thought". Jagadguru Adi Shankara was the first Hindu saint who fought against Racial discrimination. SEE IT BEFORE IT GOES OUT OF THE CIRCUIT
