An excerpt of my novel so far: How can that be so, Artur? A tall, pale man, wearing an expensive tailcoat inquired. His bright green eyes observed a small man take up his glass and smile in his exquisite manners. It had been so far a cheerful conversation in Torje, one of the major pubs in the aristocratic district of Illie, but Dragomir could hardly follow that mans thoughts. He spoke with utmost brilliance, and contrary to all things the higher-ranked aristocrat was led to believe throughout his life. My dear friend, you ignore a fundamental concept that is not, you see. Artur started, after taking a sip of his drink. On his right, another man just watched the conversation without uttering many words. There is no such thing as a soul. He delivered those words, and Dragomir, who now stood up on his left side raised his eyebrows, waiting for an explanation of such grave statement. It was, however, the man who was silent up until now who spoke. This is a most interesting hypothesis, doctor Iliescu. His manners were calm and collected, and he gestured as he spoke. A wise man, and a well travelled one at that. The wrinkles and scars on his face showed not only his age, now past his sixties, but also his experience. For he had visited all reigns known to men, and heard the most absurd theories of yore, he was under the impression Arturs speech would be one more of them. However, if that is so, would you not agree that many of the well accepted explanations we have so far for our lives and the universe are wrong?
