An exciting addition to National Science Week was the launch of the Artist in Residence Science program (AIRS). AIRS supports creative collaboration through a residency, engaging artists and scientists. AIRS aims to promote the role and value of arts and science as key drivers of discovery and innovation across Queensland, to grow our creative exploration and help solve environmental challenges. The residency will be based at the EcoSciences Precinct and value is committed through unparalleled access to the state’s scientists, research, networks and provision of on-site workspace at the Precinct and opportunity to join research missions or locate to other research bases. Expressions of Interest for the Artist in Residence Science Program are now open. qld.gov.au/dsitia/initiatives/artist-residence-science-program/
