An exciting appointment for all the young conservationists in Cambridge! Next week, over the course of two days, A Vision for Nature will bring up to 200 young people from across the UK together. These young people, already interested in nature and its protection, will hear from informative speakers of their own age and from the conservation sector (academics, landowners, personalities, thinkers, NGOs, entrepreneurs, etc.) on a range of topics, covering the past, present and future of the British nature conservation movement – environmental history, the economy, the politics and the culture of nature conservation will all be discussed. They will also have the opportunity to take part in training workshops, again largely run by their peers. These workshops will be in everything from ecology and photography through to storytelling and how to campaign. The skills they gain and the new relationships they build will last beyond the event and will enable them to work more effectively together to secure nature’s future.
