An exciting opportunity if you enjoy singing and dancing, and Harry Potter! Or all of those things together... The University of Exeter’s Harry Potter Society presents a musical re-telling of J.K. Rowling’s beloved book series. “A Very PotSoc Musical” is a parody for fans of the franchise and Harry Potter avoiders alike. A musical that is both faithful to the themes of the books, and one that tears those themes apart, it’s hilarious, crude and fun for everyone. We’re looking for a cast of seventeen talented actors, all of whom must sing and have basic dancing skills. The musical will be performed in November of this year, so unfortunately these roles are only open to students still attending university at the start of the new academic year. Auditions will be held from 6pm until 9pm on April 29th/30th and May 1st in Cornwall House Room 3. For these auditions we will ask you to perform a short scene extract from the musical that we will provide, and then to sing an excerpt from a song of your choice (one verse and chorus), as well as take part in a casual musical range exercise.
