An exercise in linguistics : Some Filipinos may not even be aware of it but it is very common for most Filipinos to know , speak , write and understand several languages at the same time . In other words , most Filipinos are multi-lingual . Meaning , they are in the category of a linguist . For example this writer who is multi-lingual , loves talking in some kind of hilarious dialect ( or expression ) from Northern Philippines just to tease some people :) like so : " WEN AGPAYSO NGA TALAGA . BAKETEN GAMIN NI NANANG TAYO , MAKAUNGET MANEN. MARIGATANEN NGA MAKAUNGAR PAY ITI AGKARAUNGET NGA BAKET ! " :) :) :)
