An exhibition from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History will explore the history of slavery and abolition through the life of Frederick Douglass, a man who escaped slavery and rose to the highest levels of American society as an abolitionist of slavery and a recognized leader for African Americans in the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. This exhibit will be viewable in the lobby of our library from February 10 through March 10.
