We can all help to #stopthestatistic. Liberia Ebola log #11: New Years Eve in the bush All helicopter flights are cancelled New Years day so here we stay in Gbedia Town another day. Training ended today and another group of Ebola fighters will get in the game for Liberia. I hope weve taught them everything they need to know to stay alive. No shortage of bravery here. We of the training team sat in the yard after sundown, had a few drinks, smoked cigars and watched a movie projected on the dark canvas wall of the unused morgue- our makeshift home for 2 more nights. We heard the guards killed 4 yellow Mambas last night outside the fence. This is getting to be like a surreal episode of Lost. So my New Years tribute is to those faces who embrace lifes adventures - both everyday and extraordinary - and those who believe that fear is just a four letter word.
