An hour ago, my friend, mentor and wise adviser passed away. As I stated to a friend, I dont know the last time I actually cried to the point of not being able to speak. A Hollywood power player who maintained mutual respect, honor, and humility, showed that you can me a lot of money, become very successful and not let it define you. He could not be bullied, but he also was first to admit when he was wrong. As busy as he was, he would never refuse a meeting with me when I was in LA, and never rushed me out of his office even with his staff waiting to talk to him. I learned more from him than any motivational speaker, religious leader or teacher. I will miss Howard Schultz greatly because its almost like I lost a parent. He would always stress in me to remain a good person, no matter how much success comes. It should never define me, because it will never stay forever, so be defined by the person are with or without success. I miss him already. My trips to LA will be a little lonelier because I wont be able to see the man that made me laugh even when I thought my world was ending. Howard, you will be missed.
