An ideal APC Presidential Ticket is a Buhari-Fashola combination. But, sadly, that is only in an ideal Federal System. In Nigerias Federal System, a system that is fraught with mutual suspicion founded on religious divisiveness, sectarian schisms and tribal and ethnic wrangling, a Buhari-Fashola Ticket will ascribe probative value to the postulations of certain classes of people that APC is a Moslem ticket. My submission is that the APC should field an Amaechi-Kwankwaso or a Rochas-Kwankwaso Ticket. That way, the noise about APC being a Moslem Party would be silenced. What is more? The men mentioned hereabove are men known for their strong character and tenacity of purpose. But, if you ask me, I will prefer an Amaechi-Kwankwaso Ticket. This Ticket has the added advantage if convincing the South-Southerners that the opposition to President GEJ is not founded on his origin, but, rather, an expression of dissatisfaction with his five year stewardship. I would have suggested former Governor Donald Duke of Cross River State; but, then, he is more interested in his violin performance than in pursuing further political office. Plus, I doubt if he has that strength of character and the will to keep a man like Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso under control.
