An important, yet hopefully non-inflammatory, question for the Christian scientist, concerning creation: What about resurrection? Science is more strongly convinced of the falsehood of resurrection than anything else. It’s not even a serious scientific discussion. Not one scientist in the world will, from his/her scientific standpoint, be able to tell you that resurrection is anything other than a lie, and any hope in it empty. A thousand empirical experiments will corroborate this beyond a reasonable doubt; indeed beyond a *shadow* of a doubt. So, since 1 Cor 15 (the resurrection chapter) is going to pit the Bible believer against the mighty *mountain* of all scientific evidence collected from the year dot to the current day, why is it worthwhile to expend so much energy to massage/wrest the text of Genesis 1 (the creation chapter) to match what you believe secular science to be telling you, when 1 Cor 15 never will? To ask the same question more positively: if you are blessed to have enough faith to believe in the scientifically laughable doctrine of resurrection, as the Bible describes it, why would this same faith struggle to believe in creation, as the Bible describes it? “But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him” Thoughtful, respectful discussion is invited.
