An inbax reply to Muslim brother on arguments regarding Swalati to the prophet Mohammed after sallah prayers. According to my understanding, the taslim completes the prayer (sallah). So the moment you recite the Tashahhud and Darud (Darud means praise and salutation to Prophet Mohammed) before saying your taslim, the prayer is completed. So anything you do after the taslim, whether you pray for yourself or you make praise and salutation to Prophet Mohammed that is “Swalaati” cannot spoil the prayer. Because in the “Guide to Good Deeds” says that “Whosoever asks for blessings upon me, angels will praise him for long as he asks, no matter whether the time is short or long.
