An innocuous post I made to a news article discussing independence brought out some nasty snobbery and bigotry from two people Id expected better from. If you cant accept others views. Save me the trouble and remove yourself from my FB list. For the record, Im undecided how ill vote but when I do, itll be after the necessary research and in the direction my intellect points me. For me the whole build up to the referendum is bringing a very interesting arrogance and divisiveness out in peoples psyche and behaviour. Whatever happened to accepting people interpret things differently, or have a different opinion and accepting that those opinions are still valid despite them being different to your own? Words like belief shouldnt enter into the debate. The arrogance and faux-intellectualism on display on this thread alone made me very sad. Theres a very simple question. Should our country try to govern itself? Its absolutely f-all to do with religion, ancestry or historical injustice. Its about who will build the country our children will live in. Thats all. nothing else.
