An inspiring story by a brother! "The story I will tell my grandkids InshaAllah. When I was much younger, I packed up my bags and moved to the Wilaya of Jordan. Back then it was a monarchy used as a Western military base to attack Islam and Muslims. Life was pure garbage here. The people received monthly salaries barely enough for a week. There was no industry or infrastructure. The people drove cheap little vehicles made by Koreans, not like the locally manufactured luxury SUVs you kids drive. The neighborhoods made absolutely no sense… just a huge mess of buildings, horrible fake sidewalks and roads, barley any parks or libraries. The old Abdoun animal shelter used to be a US embassy and the “Lost & Found” building used to be the Saudi embassy... that was the name of the mafia that ran Hijaz and Najd. Anyways, the Arabs in this part were dark, frail, and wrinkled. We had no idea that it was due to them being malnourished and out in the harsh sun with nothing to do. There weren’t any free top of the line sports arenas and development centers like you guys have. Everything cost so much and most people here had nothing to do but pollute their lungs with smoke and play cards to feel some sense of achievement. The military back then was a joke. Security guards with a military rank, protecting their enemy’s interests. Back then Palestine was occupied. I remember going from Amman to Al-Quds… it took an hour to the Ghor, and another 3 hours to gain access from the occupiers, and yet another hour to travel through 3 checkpoints. Now it takes you kids a half hour on the subway. Back then most of my friends were unable to get married. They would reach their 30s and 40s and remain unable to open homes. Women held absolutely no value. Their images were used to sell everything from tires to nail-clippers. I can’t describe to you the amount of corruption that existed. Then Allah blessed us with the announcement of the Khilafah. It was the happiest day of my life. I joined the army and was later stationed in Al-Ghouta. It was one of the hottest nights in Ramadan. The whole world was against us but yet I felt more powerful then then them all. I received three bullets to my left arm in The Second Battle of Badr but I didn’t drop the banner of Islam. I felt like a real man and slave of Allah."
