An interesting article that shows that Deaf students face learning obstacles in other places besides just the U.S. The National Deaf Childrens Society in Wales suggests that in order to close the gap in educational success the following actions should be taken: 1) Appropriate support from specialist professionals, 2) Good acoustics in classrooms and 3)Teachers and hearing pupils to learn sign language and to be more deaf aware. Good advice for any educational program.
