An interesting discovery. Almost too late. One of my algebra students has been working diligently to earn himself a D, mainly by doing a bad job on exams. Hes much less anxious (and thus more successful) on short quizzes. Today, in a desperate move, I told him I was going to dole out the algebra exam to him one page at a time. He agreed. He received a new page after turning each one in. I just finished grading the algebra exam. He scored in the 90s for the first time all semester. He is now positioned to pass the class. Hes getting the final one page at a time, thats for sure.
