An interesting discussion on NewsX about the declassified and hidden files shows that Subash Chandra Bose did not die in a plane crash. As details emerge now, it is clear that Netaji was in custody of dictator Josef Stalin in what was then USSR. This fact was known to Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru and both of them supressed the truth and did not want to bring back Netaji to India. Dr Subramanyam Swamy, the only man who has seen all the 39 classified files under the Chandrasekhar and Vajpayee regime, avers that Netaji was killed by Stalin. Infact, Gandhiji in an interview to a US biographer had conceded that if Netaji returns to India alive from USSR, he would expose all the Congress leaders who played a role in handing over the INA boss to Stalin. Who handed over Netaji to Stalin? Was it the Japanese who had used Netaji as their pawn? Or did the British capture Netaji and hand him as a trade off with Stalin? Why did Nehru prevent the enquiry Commission set up by his own government from visiting Taiwan where the plane crash was supposed to have taken place?
