An interesting paper on efficient energy use. The lower the energy density, the higher the land requirement for producing energy. Nuclear fission produces 645 billion megajoules (mj) of energy per kilogram (kg), wood 5 mg, and wind 0.00006 mg. It takes roughly four times the amount of a citys land to power it if left to wind, solar and other renewable fuels. What will be left available for food, forestry and fiber production if this was our sole energy source?
