An interview with someone who attended this meeting verified that indeed the message was given at approximately 15-20 minutes into the meeting. the reason for this is someone was called around 5 pm of that day and given the responsibility to inform all persons residing in all neighborhoods expected to attend the meeting due to his birthday celebration. This was not a realistic time frame to deliver this message and thus the message was delivered at the meeting. Though it is appreciated that the minister did make an attempt to cancel, it is not appreciated that this message was not given earlier granted that if indeed it was the minsters birthday, this was not an unexpected celebration. There are persons who had to miss work, seek a baby sitter and/ or seek transportation to attend this meeting.More consideration and courtesy should be given to the people of Sint Maarten.
