An investigation is underway following the armed robbery of a service station in Padstow this morning. Two men armed with handguns entered the Davies Road premises just after 3am today (Saturday 21 June 2014). They assaulted the male cashier, while demanding he hand over cash and cigarettes. The cashier complied, and the two men fled in a vehicle that was parked in the car wash next to the service station. Emergency services were called to the address, where police established a crime scene. No-one was injured during the incident. Detectives from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating, and appealing for information about two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries. One man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 18 to 20 years old, with olive skin and a medium build. At the time of the incident, this man was wearing white gloves, a dark-grey hooded jumper, navy-blue Adidas tracksuit pants with four vertical white stripes running down the leg, and navy-blue sports shoes. The second man is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, 18 to 20 years old, with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white handkerchief over his face, white gloves, a light-grey hooded jumper, navy-blue Adidas tracksuit pants with four vertical white stripes running down the leg and navy-blue sports shoes.
