An invitation that blew my mind. In Feb 2008 I spent a month of preaching and teaching in the 13 Evangelical United Methodist Congregations in the Republic of Macedonia, which is mostly and largely a broad old school Evangelical denomination. It is directly because of that trip that I am now a minister in the UCA. In Feb 2008 I was a high Church Presbyterian who accepted the ordination of women and high liturgy, but otherwise still quite conservative. Now I am way left of the theological specrum, Ive been called a Liberal, Post Liberal, Post Protestant and various other tags, some of which I wear prouldly and happily. Ive changed HEAPS! And some folk in Macedonia know this well. AND this morning I wake up to find an email with an invitation to again visit the Evangelical United Methodist Churches in Macedonia in 2015. Mind blown!!!
