An ode to chicken: Thanks for the nuggets and the waffle fries Mr. Cathy, and also those mini chicken biscuits for breakfast that got me through many finals in college. That Polynesian sauce? OMG. Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich day in middle and high school (Thursday) was always the best lunch day, even though I hated the default pickles on the sandwich and always took them off. I remember when chicken-fil-a was just some place in the mall and my aunt and I drove all the way to Winston-Salem to eat at the one in Hanes Mall. Then they opened restaurants all over with S. Truett quotes written on the walls. All of your loyal fans even put up with our cravings on Sundays because you respected your employees enough to close all your stores and give them the day off. Chick-fil-A was a gift to all of us who like to eat fried food and have high standards for chicken. Once you eat a waffle fry, regular fries are just never the same. Oh, and thanks for the cow campaign, that was pure genius and Ill eat moo-r chiken 4 lyfe. I dont really care what your familys personal religious or political beliefs were because your food was good and your respect and treatment of your employees was better. What a sad, sad day for chicken. Now if only 2016 were here and there were Chick-fil-As in NYC...
