An often overlooked hurdle to gender equality is the lack of pockets in womens clothing. Seriously, whats up with that? My wife has outfits with fake pockets, meanwhile even my swimsuits have at least two pockets. When Im out with the wife... Wife: Honey, can you hold my keys and wallet please. Me: Why do I have to hold them for you? Why cant you hold them yourself? Wife: Because you have pockets and I dont. Me: So why dont you carry a purse like other women? Wife: Would you rather hold my purse? Me: ...fine, you win. For practical purposes, every outfit should have at least three pockets: one for your keys, one for your wallet, and one for your cell phone. Without such, you have to resort to carrying a purse or something similar, causing inefficiency due to 50% of your hands/arms being dedicated to the task (assuming you have two hands/arms). Or youd have to rely on someone who has pockets. And since your female companions most likely share your predicament, youre forced to turn to a man. Thats right, ladies. Thats why you need us. For our pockets, and to open pickle jars. And twice a year to put up and take down window air conditioners. -DL
