An old video (2009) of Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of MythBusters and Tested fame demonstrating the difference between how your CPU (main computer chip) handles problems versus how GPU (graphics chip) handle problems. While this video is basically an NVIDIA ad, I still enjoyed it. The takeaway here for people who dont know a lot about computers is this: Your computer is really good at doing one thing at a time (I know that this isnt strictly true with modern multi-core CPUs) while the graphics chip is designed to do a bunch of things at once.
