An older gentleman was in a worship service and a spirit of GRIEF came upon his spirit. He asked God what this was about. God told him to look around at the faces of the people in the congregation. As he looked, he noticed that all of the people had DEFEAT on them. He said, My people are not living in VICTORY. They are living in DEFEAT. Ii Cor. 2:14 Now thanks be unto God who always leads us in Christ in TRIUMPH and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. GODS PURPOSE IS TO LEAD HIS PEOPLE IN VICTORY IN WHAT HE DID ON THE CROSS. THE CHURCH SHOULD REFLECT THAT AS A FRAGRANCE. WE ARE MEANT TO BE TROPHIES THAT REFLECT HIS FRAGRANCE AND VICTORY ON THE CROSS. There is something wrong. The fruit is not good. You will KNOW a man by his fruit. We are supposed to be a FRAGRANCE. From Gods perspective on VICTORY is not how much money you have or reaching stardom. The VICTORY we are supposed to have is FOLLOWING Him and FULFILLING THE WORKS HE HAS PLANNED for us. Ephesians 2:10 For we His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should WALK in them. He has WORKS for each one. A purpose and a destiny for each one of us. The ULTIMATE PURPOSE and DESTINY, the ULTIMATE MARK to be HIT is to be changed to be LIKE Jesus. Like Him in CHARACTER, like Him in HOLINESS where He was FULLY yielded to the Father. God is the one who PREPARES each man and woman to be able to serve the body. God EQUIPS them before a COMMISSION. We can MISS the mark. It has to be do with our FREE WILL. What does DEFEAT look like? The FALL. The ULTIMATE defeat. It started with the angelic realm. All of a sudden there was iniquity or sin found. SIN means MISSING THE MARK (in the Old Testament). In the New Testament it is referred to as LAWLESSNESS. SIN IS LAWLESSNESS and is MISSING the MARK. The rejection of the will of God and the substitution of the will of self. Whenever you are in SELF WILL, you are in SIN. Pride was found in satan, evil, lawlessness Independent SELF WILL. We are called to be IN CHRIST. SUBSTITUTE SELF WILL for Gods WILL and they FELL and MISSED THEIR MARK. Our old man was born into self centeredness. SIN is LAWLESSNESS.
