An older piece.. Slapstick A serious character in the slapstick comedy of life, the american poet sits to write. The world around him, in shambles, his only stability, is pen in hand.. For reasons unknown, his constant calamity called life, brings to mind the phrase, When it rains, it pours.. Rain being a poetic term for piss.. This humbled man, pieces together the tatters of his life, and when all is lost, looks to his quill and vision is restored amid the foggy haze of this thing called life.. When shit gets tough, he puts into motion an inanimate object upon the pulp of once majestic trees.. What comes out is a flow of emotion; uncaged.. A mad mans free form upon parchment. Deep in thought, a busy mind enters territory unknown, as he wanders his subconscious mind to make sense of non-sense. Emotions unexplored, the poet discovers that what results from pen to paper, is his coping mechanism.
