An open Letter to Mr. President On 1st October 2013, Mr. President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is expected to deliver his 53rd Independence Anniversary Broadcast. Nigerians want to hear a sincere, inspiring, patriotic and visionary speech. For donkey years, the politicians (and their militician cousins) have been giving us the exact opposite. This e-mail is aimed at assisting Mr. President and his Aides package (or re-package) this year’s Anniversary Broadcast. They have about forty five days to do it. Now to the letter, proper! * * * Dear President, accept my sincere congratulations on the forthcoming Independence Anniversary. I have quite a lot to write in this ‘Letter’ but since I know you are so very busy with affairs of State, let me simply touch briefly on nine topics namely: – Toying with the Education Sector; Anti-Corruption War? Insecurity galore; Gov. Amaechi versus the PDP; The All Progressive Congress; So, Government cannot employ everybody? Igbo votes and Igbo Presidency?, Youth Welfare Scheme: PDP, APC and 2015; Is the Inspector General of Police neutral? * Toying with the Education Sector.
