An open invite to all our friends to join Pat and I on our Halloween trip Pat and I have decided that for Halloween, 2014 we will be spending the night in the Trans Allegheny Lunatic asylum - an abandoned former Mental Health facility in remote Weston, WV (2 hours south of Pittsburgh). (How could anything possibly go wrong spending Halloween night in an abandoned lunatic asylum?) On Oct 31 or Nov 1 you will be allowed to spend the night in the building (11:30pm - 6am) for $100. Its an enormous building and they will be allowinga group of 40 (broken into 4 groups of 10) into the main building. I plan on booking tomorrow. I assume this is something that needs booked well in advance - after all - who doesnt want to do this. I called them tonight and they said they should be able to take a reservation in the morning They also have a haunted house that night Would anyone like to meet us there and join us for Halloween? - Id prefer to go on Friday, Oct 31 (Halloween night) although I could be persuaded to move it to Saturday night if others are interested. The Asylum has had apparition sightings, unexplained voices and sounds, and other paranormal activity reported in the past by guests, staff, SyFys Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters Academy, the Travel Channels Ghost Adventures and Paranormal Challenge.
