An open letter to Supporters (and wanna-be supporters) of Rock School Seattle - the summer camp I direct: Hello Parents, Friends, and Supporters of Rock School, We are writing you with a request. As you know, we were the very first Not for Profit Rock School in Seattle. We pride ourselves on running a camp that gives scholarships to nearly a third of students who attend. We also pride ourselves in having the most experienced professional and talented teaching staff, and we love working with your kids. However, we have run into a bit of a snag, and that is that though our operating costs continue to rise, we have kept the price at $500 per student for the two-week camp. While this covers some of our expenses, we are continually competing with rising rental fees, equipment costs, and supplies. So – we are asking for your help. If you love Rock-School – and you want to help us continue to operate our 2 week long summer camps, please consider making a Tax Deductible donation to our Non-profit. Any amount helps – be it $20 – or $2000. We are one of the only camps that allows every kid to feel valued, even if they don’t have the money to participate. We are also one of the few camps that puts emphasis on writing original music, and allows kids to process their emotions by creative collaboration with other teens. Nothing makes us smile more than watching the kids write and perform songs that came from their hearts. All of your donations are Tax Deductible – and we will send you a tax receipt upon payment. Here are a few things you can do – and a few perks for your support! Donation Amounts: $50 – A copy of the Rock School CD – recorded at The Vera Project $100 - A copy of the CD and your name in the liner notes of the album $500– Rock School CD, your name in the liner notes, a student designed Rock School T-Shirt $1000 – Rock School CD, Your name in the liner notes, T-shirt and Front row seats to the showcase with a special Thank you during the concert $5000 – Rock School CD, T-shirt, Front row seat to the concert, and you will be listed as executive producer on the album.
