An opportunity to shape your industry The skills and knowledge of a beauty practitioner are vital for success in an industry that is dominated by a continual flow of new products, technological advancements and treatment options. In addition, clients now have higher expectations of both treatments available and the quality of service they receive. To ensure access to a range of highly skilled and quality trained individuals input is needed into the review of training options for those seeking a career in beauty. Service Skills Australia is responsible for the development of nationally recognised beauty qualifications which outline the required skills and knowledge delivered during training. The SIB10 Beauty Training Package is currently subject to an extensive review process that will see changes and updates to enhance training outcomes. Throughout October and November Service Skills Australia will host a series of consultation meetings and workshops around Australia to gain industry input into existing and newly developed beauty qualifications and competency standards.
