An overcast day, with 3 remarkable actors, awakening the Poe - TopicsExpress

An overcast day, with 3 remarkable actors, awakening the Poe shadow in Baltimore. What an event in honor and memory of Edgar Allan Poe! With lots of recent Poe events going on around the nation, today was pretty climactic. Thank goodness the rains held off, otherwise guests wouldve been hearing dramatic Poe presentations inside of the creepy catacombs beneath Westminster Hall! That wouldve been pretty Poe-ish too, come to think of it! Soon the Edgar Allan Poe: Evermore page will be updating their event page and photo album with details, highlights, and photos from todays remarkable event. Be sure to like the page and check out the event photos and all the other great Poe stuff there. Chills, tears, and smiles were not short in supply while participating in todays memorable event. Baltimore events hosted by Mr. Jeff Jerome, Curator Emeritus formerly of the EAP House & Museum always are classy, fun, creative, educational, enlightening, and most of all highly respectful of the late great Poe. On this day so close to the anniversary of Poes death, this was a truly poetic and beautiful event. Competing a bit with baseball games and several other festivals going on downtown, didnt stop fans and appreciators of Poe from attending. Special guests, tourists, locals, the media, friends, families, and individuals that work to preserve Poes legacy came to show their support and love for Poe. Good folks from the Poe House attended, including staff and visitors, and other Poe performers as well. Lots of great prizes for attendees were presented. There was a pretty amazing Edgar Allan Poe cake won by a visitor... SWEET! Heres just a quick snap of me at the Talking About Poe: Lord Help My Poor Soul Event, with my favorite Bronte sister. You never know who will be found at the burying grounds where Poe and his family are interred. Also pictured are the fabulous performers, the amazing, sometimes terrifying Tony Tsendeas, the articulate and magnificent Matthew Broderick, and the whimsically entertaining dashing Don Mullins. All superb actors, pictured with the man behind these successful events, Jeff Jerome, who conceives and carries out these literary, historical, and Poe-esque programs. Special thanks to everyone for a Poe Day to remember!
