An overlooked truth: Our mosques chase people away from Islam. I, and a lot of my friends too, used to enjoy going to the masjid because it was a way for me to get away from mental oppression and psychological bullying; a place where I can come back to my senses. To me, it was like a hospital for the spiritual being. But now, every time I go to the masjid, all the stuff I used to walk away from happens there too. Every time I go there somebody wants to argue with me about something and I do not argue back. People question my faith as if its their responsibility to do so; Talha, do you believe in so and so? Talha, you dont pray your salah like the Prophet! (... Ummm cool did you see him pray?) Talha youre this and that is deviant, you need to follow Qurān and Sunnāh! This is Kufr! Bidī. Mushrik. Mubtadi3. Cool. Can you define all those terms you used and how its your business? Im just a human being trying to follow principles I was inclined towards at birth (FITRA). Meaning, even calling myself Muslim can be too problematic for some people. Seriously. Why and how does this concern you? People tell me, Just ignore them.. Its not that easy when they literally follow you and even physically harm you because they want to ask you questions and fix you. Mind your own business. Get a life, yo. Our mosques were not built to find an orderly manner to religiously bully people. | impulse
