An unforgettable night that was made possible by my husband who so - TopicsExpress

An unforgettable night that was made possible by my husband who so unselfishly worked an incredible amount of overtime this summer, a dear friend who I met thru the TGEN Center for rare childhood disorders and Pauls personal assistant, Michelle, who my dear friend mentioned above, contacted. All of the wonderful things that happened for Hayden were no accident but a collaboration by the three people above.... not to mention God & Him knowing the desires of our precious sons heart. May seem silly to some, but to our true Beatles fan, this was a dream come true. After being invited by Pauls assistant, we got to enjoy a private sound check where Hayden was front and center. I have video of Hayden getting a shout out from Paul during the sound check (video to follow) but I was so surprised, nervous and everything for him that its pretty poor quality. We had been told that if he were to shout out to Hayden from the stage to let him know it was us by stating his name and Make a Wish. He knew exactly who he was and although I didnt get to catch it at the beginning of the video, he said Hayden! Whos the cool guy with the guitar?? That is when Hayden went absolutely crazy and dialogued back and forth with Paul for a few exchanges. So while he didnt get to shake his hand or have an autograph signed (which Hayden never mentioned about missing out on) he has told everyone that he has met Paul McCartney. We werent sure if we were going to make it last night as Hayden had a really rough day. But again God provided and made it possible for Hayden to be able to rest for a few hours before going and he was able to stand for 3 songs while he played his guitar!!! When he got tired after those few songs he fought to stay awake. I have one video of one of his favorite songs and he is asleep but is mouthing the words to the song. It was so adorable. The dinner with the crew, back stage tour, being showered with gifts (he received Pauls bass guitar pic, Abes autographed drum sticks he used that night at the concert, the song play list, a very cool Leeds backpack, lunch box, coffee mug, tour book, VIP pass, t shits & a tote bag) & just a once in a lifetime experience for our precious boy was worth it all!!! We also met another 8 year old Beatles fan at the private party before the concert. Small world story here - the Benjamins know a mito friend of ours from Boston, Liz Kennerley!!! We were treated like royalty the entire 8 hours we were there. Make a wish may not have been able to make everything come together but it wasnt entirely their fault. There is quite the process to have a celebrity meet and greet. To be honest, it may have not started the way we had envisioned it but in the end this was just as amazing, if not better, than how it probably would of been with MAW. Im so thankful we were able to provide Hayden with this once in a lifetime opportunity with getting by with a little help from our friends!! We are so grateful for the opportunity and God orchestrating His master plan to best benefit Haydens heartfelt dream come true.
