An unusual audio day. Today I lost a set of headphones, found a set of headphones, and ordered a set of headphones (well, 2 actually)! *ordered* So some days ago I won an unexpected award from my company. Then when I was in my DC office after a while of being away this past Thursday I discovered the recognition was accompanied by a nice financial award! So I decided to do something I had thought about but had never done before: Order a serious set of cans. At the good counsel of Len Sitnick and Gary Young - both musician friends of mine of substantial talent and good taste - I ordered a set of Audio-Technica ATH-M50s. They should be delivered tomorrow. *lost* But I dont plan to wear those outside the home much if at all. For that I rely on my lower profile Klipsch Image S4i-II ear buds. I had them last night and today - despite a thorough search - I cannot find them. Fortunately, since Klipsch has updated this line the S4i-IIs have gotten cheaper and cheaper ($55). And I had some American Express Reward Points so I also ordered their replacement today and thanks to Amazon Prime, theyll be here Monday . But losing stuff does drive me crazy. #FirstWorldProblems *found* But when Im in the house and I want good sound but also want to hear if Beth Shields, Mika Shields, Skye or Alia speak to me, I use Koss very solid though aesthetically wanting over-the-ear Porta-Pros. Weeks ago, these went missing. But today when I found myself without any headphones, I went searching more diligently and found them in one of my daughters rooms behind her chest of drawers! So soon all audio situations will be sufficiently covered but Im mainly posting this in case youre in the market for a good set of serious cans (the Audio Technica ATH-M50s), an excellent but more inexpensive over-the-ear set (the Koss Porta-Pros), or earbuds that sound amazing but wont break the bank (the Klipsch S4i-IIs). audio-technica/cms/headphones/0edf909675b1be4d/index.html
