An update for my sister, Jeanine Ferguson: I just had the privilege of spending about a half hour on the phone with my sister rejoicing about the rain that had started to fall. If you live here in Washington you might think, oh thats great news. Maybe the firefighters will catch a break. But for the town of Burney, whose temperatures average in the high 90s-100 this time of year and no rain, this is nothing short of a miracle. As we continued our conversation about how God has provided, protected, and shown himself through this the rain continued to cover! If you or a loved one has lost their home, please dont think for minute that we are able to give Him glory because this little town was spared. Our family is all to familiar with loss, but weve experienced the magnificence of who He is through it ALWAYS! Please be encouraged. He will also move on your behalf! Thanks to all for your prayers. I know I personally felt comforted knowing you were standing in the gap when I needed to just let the tears fall. Jeanine is overjoyed with the outpouring of love and support!!! We wrapped up our talk while she sat in her car, in front of her home, untouched by the flames, covered by rain... all the while in her home worship music played on.
