An update from WELS World Missions administrator Rev. Larry Schlomer regarding WELS African mission fields: The Ebola outbreak in Western Africa is being monitored by our WELS World Mission staff. We had to call off planned travel to Nigeria during October, but thank God that the Ebola outbreak there has ended. Our mission work in Cameroon, Malawi and Zambia has not been affected at this time. We are in contact with the U.S. State Department’s resources in these countries and will keep evaluating the safety of our mission teams especially as they travel on the continent. Please join us in praying that the Lord keep our workers, members, and staff safe in these locations. Please also join us in praying that the Lord provide relief according to his will for all who are suffering in countries touched by this outbreak.
