An update from our sponsored rider in the middle of the Triumph Triple Challenge: Friday free practice went realy well as kieron was on the pace from the start and after 4 laps he was in for a couple of tweaks to stiffen up the suspension both ends. Qualifying was on Friday afternoon and didnt go to plan as an on track incident with another rider meant Kieron had to take to the grass on his flying lap thus he only managed 16th on track and 6th in the cup. Saturday Race 1,Kieron made a good start and got up to 13th (4th in cup) and over the course of the race was continually 4th fastest through sector 1 but as the race went on the bike faded due to some set up issues and finished in 16th (7th in cup) Kieron was far from impressed. Saturday Race 2, after some changes to set up Kieron got a better start and ran a faster pace but rear tyre started tearing up on the right hand side which meant he couldnt get on the throttle with the bike leant over so he had to keep sitting it up then get on the power so he finished in 16th again (6th in cup) Sunday Race 3, After some real head scratching and long deliberating we made some radical changes to the bike set up and stuck in the hardest front tyre allowed, Kieron made a poor start dropping back 4 places by turn 1 how ever he got his head down and by the end of the 1st lap Kieron had made up 7 places to 12th he continued this pace and with 2 laps to go he equalled his fastest lap of the race & weekend & was 9th then on the last lap Kieron had a big moment, he high sided & fortunately he landed back on the bike luckily Kieron had a lead of over 1.5 seconds so managed to keep 9th position to the flag this gave him 4th in the cup. Over all it wasnt a bad weekend with Kieron scoring some good solid points in both the cup championship as well as the main championship, Kieron is laying 4th in the cup championship some 8 points in front of 5th & 45 points off of 3rd. Kieron is now joint 16th in the main championship with 19 points, all points will be halved after the next round at thruxton so things will tighten up for all.
