An update on MGCC bursary recipient Rune Schaefers season so far. Hello, Just wanted to give an update on my race season lately. I was chosen to go with Team Ontario Juniors to Nationals this month. It was a surprise to be selected as a cadet, and was a goal for next year, so I was nervous but honored to be chosen. It was very hard and exhausting but I did get 15th overall in TT, 29th in Road Race and crit....well maybe we wont mention that. Immediately after Nationals I headed to Rimouski with Team Ontario. Our team placed first in the TTT, the following day one of our Team members got the yellow jersey. I received a third place in the ITT and placed 8th overall in the GC. My team placed 6th overall. Following Rimouski, I had the St. Catharines RR this past weekend where I placed first. It has been a busy summer of racing and Provincials will soon be here in Lake of Bays.
