An update on my boy Frankie. He had to have his back leg amputated on Thursday and I brought him home yesterday. 2 of the vets + 4 different vet techs were marveling to me about how well his surgery went & how he was recovering. I intentionally left him there for 2 nights to recover, figuring he would do best there, with their 24 hour care while he was coming of the anesthesia & meds. While I am so grateful the surgery went well, I was not completely prepared for how he would look. It is not for the faint of heart or stomach but I know once his fur grows back, it will look much better. I am compelled to share with you, my fellow pet lovers, that I am certain he is doing so well because I connected with a lady on Vashon Island who has done distance Reiki sessions on him, once a day since Tuesday. After every session, she sent me an amazingly detailed email with astonishing insight into how he was doing. Not sure how she knew all the stuff she did except that I am a big believer in alternative treatments combined with conventional treatments.
