An update on my year.....having left London for our N Cyprus home at the start of August I was looking forward to a few weeks sun & sea with a little writing filling in the gaps between. The writing has taken off and with no gainful employment found or offered back in London it seems I am staying here for the foreseeable future. I have no phone or home internet but am logging on at a nearby hostelry most afternoons where I send that days pages. My days are spent writing, walking Bella my doggy companion and occasionally blowing some blues harp with local musicians. A simple life, also this week I celebrate six months of becoming a non smoker and with cleaner lungs my walks get longer by the day, I walk the headland and bay by my house for an hour and a half every morning at a strong marching pace, my lungs fill with the salt tinged sweet clean air of the Eastern Mediterranean, most mornings, and that is at 8am at present, the sun rises over the mountains behind the house and sprinkles turquoise jewels into the crystal sea, I have only just recently stopped swimming in it after my walk, the last storm finally shipping enough cold water from the depths to make the temperature uncomfortable. So there you have it....I will return to London at some point as I need my pace maker checked....but in the meantime enjoy House of Mercy Radio archives until I return.
