An update on the 1-2 Box assignment. Station 1 was dispatched for the reported house on fire at 415 Skinners Court. Multiple reports from CPD (Cambridge Police Department) on scene reporting a working fire in the kitchen. Chief 1-2 (Adam Pritchett) arrived and confirmed a working kitchen fire. Engine Company 1-1 led by Engine Lt. 1-1 (Kevin Carr) dropped the 5 inc. supply line at the corner of Sanders and Park Lane and laid into Skinners Court. The crew from Engine Company 1-1 went to work and made an aggressive attack with one 1 3/4 inc attack line and tools through the front of the structure and got a knock on the fire. Engine Company 1-2 took the position at the hydrant at the corner of Sanders and Park Lane and tied into the hydrant and sent their manpower forward to assist Engine 1-1 with interior operations. Ladder Tower 1-1 was placed in staging and sent their manpower forward. Engine Company 1-2 was instructed not to charge the supply line. All other units due on the box were cancelled. Engine Company`s 1-1 & 1-2 made quick work of the kitchen fire all units cleared a short time later.
