An update on the Bush Fires.... BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: o There are two fires in the area. o Fires are stationary, they are contained but not under control. o High temperatures and strong winds are forecast later this morning, there is a risk that ember attacks could break containment lines. WHAT TO DO: • Stay alert and monitor your surroundings. • Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames. • Read through your bushfire survival plan. • If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation gets worse. ROAD CLOSURES: Avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site A number of roads have been closed including: • Kulija/Mundijong Road between Baldivis Road and Dixon Road • Johnson Road between Millar Road and Gemstone Parade • Wellard Road between Silversmith Street and Millar Road (local residents can exit via Homestead Drive) • Leda Boulevard at Wellard Road (local residents can exit via Homestead Drive) • Baldivis Road between Millar Road and Kerosene Lane • Kerosene Lane between Baldivis Road and Mandurah Road for updates please follow dfes.wa.gov.au/alerts/Pages/Alert.aspx?ItemId=12551
